A long day...and a bumpy sail.

Cross off another state. We are in Virginia and anchored in Fishing Bay. It is a protected area just off of Chesapeake Bay. We had a long sail today. The winds were strong, and for a lot of the time they were against the tide, which created some large waves on our beam. We are both tired...but we are getting close to Norfolk where we will start down the ICW. Sailing was great today... we learned a lot. With the wind gusting to 30, we reduced sail and had a bumpy ride. Short post tonight...the WiFi here is sketchy.

 Shirl's morning picture.

A shot off the starboard side this morning.

 Another sailboat heading south.

Sailing along, nice and smooth this morning...rough and a wild ride this afternoon.

 Another lighthouse...

We are anchored where the blue x is. It seems like a nice protected area.
